Gymnast of the year!

Desi Borgese was named gymnast of the year by MSO. They chose Desi after considering top
gymnasts all over the country. Silicon Valley newspaper writes...
"After a tremendous 2007-08 competition season, local athlete Desi Borgese has been named 2008 Gymnast of the Year by Meet Scores Online (MSO).
Borgese, a 12-year-old who trains with coaches Justin Howell and Liz Crandall at Airborne Gymnastics in Santa Clara, was selected for the national honor after consistent performances at both the state and national level meets.
The Level 10 competitor first earned the title of All-Around State Champion for Northern California. Later she earned fifth place All-Around at the USA Gymnastics JO National Champioships and qualified Junior International Elite. Then, after an outstanding performance at the U.S. Classic, she earned a berth at the Visa National Championships in Boston.
